Leadership expert Simon Sinek’s keynote on purpose-driven workplace culture was a highlight for CROW’s Michelle Menendez at the 2026 Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) Annual Conference in Orlando.
Menendez, Director of Operations and Human Resources at the Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife, attended the June conference at the Orange County Convention Center through a professional development grant from the Sanibel Captiva Business Women’s Association. SCBWA is a nonprofit dedicated to empowering and supporting the women of Sanibel and Captiva through networking, mentorship, and continuing education.
The annual SHRM conference brings together HR professionals from around the world to explore leadership, employee engagement, workplace culture, compliance, and artificial intelligence.
“Simon’s message reinforced that investing in people is the foundation of every successful organization,” says Menendez. “I returned with practical ideas that will help strengthen our workplace, support our employees, and ultimately enhance the care we provide to Florida’s native and migratory wildlife.”
