Dunes Golf & Tennis Club Virtual Auction Benefiting Play for PINK

It’s more than a golf tournament! Coach purses, “Captain Mike’s Fun Run to Useppa” or “Boat Trip to the Tarpon Lodge,” golf outings at local clubs, an oil painting of “Sanibel Seashells,” a gift basket with everything you need for “A day on the Links,” “4-hour Kayak Fishing Trip” … are just a few of the items offered in the virtual auction to take place online from Wednesday, March 24 until 6 p.m. Saturday, March 27.

Many local businesses such as Whims, The Sanctuary, Mudbugs, Captiva Cruises, Priscilla’s, Blackwood Tennis, Her Sports Closet, Sanibel Day Spa, MacIntosh Books & Paper, Blue Giraffe, Cape Nails, Ft. Myers Olive Oil and Balsamics, Sanibel Sea School have donated items and/or gift certificates, to name just a few. Also up for auction are stays at local resorts including South Seas Island Resort, the Inns of Sanibel, West Wind Inn and Sundial.

On Saturday, March 20 at noon, the preview for the virtual auction will begin. Anyone may sign in to the website to see all of the items that committee members have been collecting from local businesses and retailers, friends and club members. The website will go live for bidding at noon on Wednesday, March 24 and will remain open and active until the close at 6 p.m. Saturday, March 27.

Winning bidders may pick their items Monday, March 29 at The Dunes. Additional instructions for pick-up will be posted on the auction website.

One-hundred precent of auction proceeds go to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation thanks to the support of our sponsors: Sanibel-Captiva Trust Company, Sanibel- Captiva Community Bank, and Pfeifer Realty Group. In addition all Play for P.I.N.K. functions are underwritten by the Estee Lauder Companies.
