Islanders, friends, and family are invited to the community-wide FISH OF SANCAP Friendly Faces Luncheon at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 13 at the Sanibel Recreation Center, 3880 Sanibel Captiva Rd. A virtual option is available.
Two representatives from Lee County Electric Cooperative will be featured guest speakers.
LCEC Energy Experts Jason Hoover and Andy Molina will present energy-saving tips and tricks at the August luncheon. Their presentation will cover various information regarding surge protection, generator safety, energy tips during summer heat, solar, and how folks can conduct a home energy walk-through.
Hoover has been on the LCEC Energy Services team since 2012. He was an electrician for 13 years before working at LCEC. He is a certified Residential Energy Auditor and a United States Army Veteran.
Molina has worked at LCEC since 2018 as a field service technician and is now part of the energy services team. Before joining LCEC, Molina worked for a local residential energy company, where he developed his passion for the electric trade.
“We’re excited to hear from LCEC and learn about energy savings, particularly during hot summer days when the AC is running throughout the day,” said FISH Senior Services Director Erika Broyles.
Reservations and meal choices must be sent to Broyles by Friday, Aug. 9, at erika@fishofsancap.org or 239-472-4775. Zoom instructions will be provided with the RSVP. Meal delivery is not available for virtual participants.
Sanibel Deli will provide complimentary lunch to all guests, and FISH will offer their very popular group games and giveaways. FISH encourages guests to RSVP early, as space is limited.
