There was minimal damage to a single family home after a fire Monday, Nov. 1, on Island Inn Road near West Gulf Drive. Sanibel Fire & Rescue received the call at 1:46 p.m. and arrived on the scene at 1:53 p.m. The home was undergoing renovations after it flooded last fall. The cause of the fire is under investigation at this time. No injuries were reported. Lee County EMS and Captiva Fire District also responded to the scene. The area was cleared at 3:05 p.m.
