This year, in the spirit of creativity and accessibility, the “Ding” Darling Wildlife Society-Friends of the Refuge is reinventing the ninth annual Go Wild for “Ding” fundraiser in an original virtual format. Tickets are still available for Go Wild for Jeopar-Ding on Wednesday, March 31, at 6 p.m.
A playful rendition of everyone’s favorite longtime TV game show, classic Jeopardy, Go Wild for Jeopar-Ding brings hostess and artist-in-residence Rachel Pierce to the screen with three local celebrities to compete in categories about the J.N. “Ding” Darling National Wildlife Refuge, “Ding” the man, wildlife, and other related topics.
“The professionally recorded show will be a blast for ticketed guests to enjoy while playing along,” said event organizer April Boehnen, DDWS development officer. “Participants are already organizing outdoor watch parties to play along with family and friends.”
Jeopar-Ding celebrity contestants include: Downtown Diva, actress, and director Stephanie Davis; co-host of the “Nature Guys” podcast Greg Torres; and owner of Bailey’s General Store and island personality Richard Johnson.
Tickets start at $25 for an individual. Special prices are available for couples, school-class participation sponsorship, and Alex Trebek Tribute and VIP packages. Ticket purchases are tax deductible; proceeds benefit conservation education efforts at the refuge.
