FISH of SanCap is hosting its annual Thanksgiving Food Drive through Nov. 24, 2026. The organization is collecting food donations to support island families in need for the holiday season. FISH will distribute food baskets on Nov. 23, 24, and 25.
Donations of nonperishable Thanksgiving items, such as stuffing mix, mashed potatoes, canned vegetables, and pies, are welcome. Jerry’s Foods on Sanibel offers prepared grocery bags that make it easy to contribute to the drive while supporting an island business, and Saint Michael & All Angels Episcopal Church will provide pies to accompany the food baskets.
Drop off donations at FISH, 2422 Periwinkle Way, or Bank of the Islands, 1699 Periwinkle Way.
Volunteers are also needed for collection, sorting, and distribution. To help or learn more, visit fishofsancap.org or call 239-472-4775.
“Thanksgiving is a time when people want to gather around the table and enjoy a meal together,” said Maria Espinoza, FISH Executive Director. “For some of the families we serve, making that happen can be difficult. Our community has always been generous about helping neighbors, and these holiday programs are another example of that support.”
