Join Coastal Watch New Year’s Eve Causeway Cleanup

provided to The Santiva Chronicle

As we say goodbye to another year, let’s focus on making 2022 bright. The New Year is often a reset button for personal goals, but our oceans could use a little help to reset as well. Let’s ring in the New Year with clean causeway beaches—and you can help us make this happen.

Join Coastal Watch for a beach cleanup on the causeway islands from 10am-11:30am on Dec. 31, New Year’s Eve. Volunteers will check in on Causeway B (the island closest to Sanibel) at the covered pavilion near the restrooms on the east side (facing the lighthouse). Gloves and trash bags will be provided to volunteers upon arrival. Bring your family and friends to greet 2022 with a cleaner, healthier coastline.
