Kingfisher Real Estate announced Tommy Wiley and Julia Melvin as the top agents for July.
Wiley, the top listing agent, is a Fort Myers native who started his real estate career nearly 40 years ago on Sanibel and Captiva Islands. Possessing decades of knowledge and diversity in real estate, Wiley has been involved extensively with all aspects of appraisals and vacation rental investments. With residential real estate sales being his specialty, buyers and sellers alike will benefit from his vast knowledge and attention to detail.
With a passion for Southwest Florida this true outdoorsman can be found enjoying time on the water with his wife Karen and son Eric, as well as “scooter” rides throughout the country. Nicknamed “The Guide,” Wiley knows all the “ins” and “outs” of Southwest Florida to help families realize their dreams.
Melvin, the top selling agent, is a true Sanibel native with deep roots on the island. Her parents, Bob Cacioppo and Carrie Lund founded and produced the first professional theatres on Sanibel and Captiva. Spending the majority of her youth on the Island and attending all levels of the Sanibel School cultivated an unparalleled love and understanding of how special this place truly is.
While earning her bachelor’s degree in International Affairs at FSU she enjoyed a semester studying in London and traveled extensively throughout Europe. Melvin also worked in Peru guiding indigenous women through the process of starting and sustaining their own businesses. Post college, Sydney Australia was her home. After exploring the world, the beauty of SWFL drew her back, and for the past seven years she has been building a life here with her husband Brennen, and their dog Vinny.
Melvin is a member of the Sanibel Captiva Chapter of Zonta, an honor that four generations of women in her family have held. She acquired her real estate sales associate license in 2019 and has been working as the Office Manager for Kingfisher learning the ins and outs of the business for the past two years. Having lived on both the west and east ends of Sanibel, Melvin has an intimate knowledge of the island’s neighborhoods and would love to share this with you.
