Tutor is a native Floridian, raised in rural South Florida on a cattle ranch. Since the early 60’s, her family owned property on Sanibel and Captiva where they spent their weekends and summers fishing and shelling. Living, working and playing in Florida, Tutor lives year round on Sanibel Island with her husband, Skipp.
An avid outdoors woman and self-proclaimed mermaid, Tutor loves fishing, boating, and shelling. She is a knowledgeable advocate for all things Florida, especially the tropical paradise of Sanibel-Captiva Islands and the Southwest Florida communities.
Tutor owned a consulting firm for 16 years working with companies, state and county governments throughout Florida in infrastructure development. She is a recognized expert in communication, teamwork, and building business relationships. Tutor also worked in marketing and public relations in both the building and marine industries for several years. She is a member of the Sanibel-Captiva Chamber of Commerce, the Lions Club, Captiva Chapel by the Sea, International Game Fish Assoc., and the National Association of Women in Construction among others.
