Kingfisher Real Estate is pleased to announce Valerie Tutor as April’s top Listing agent and Mike Billheimer as April’s top Selling agent.

Valerie is a Florida native whose roots run deep in the beauty of the Everglades and the coastal magic of Sanibel and Captiva Islands. Raised on a ranch on the eastern edge of the Glades, she grew up between inland life and the saltwater shores. Becoming a full-time Sanibel resident in 2009, Valerie continues to be passionate about the environment and actively involved in her community. She serves as a board member of the Sanibel Community House, a committee member at Captiva Island Yacht Club, President of her HOA, and secretary of the Chamber of Commerce Government Affairs Committee. She is a past board member of Captiva Chapel by the Sea, past chair of SanCap Cares, past president of both the Lions Club and American Legion Auxiliary Post 123, and holds memberships in several other civic groups.

Michael Billheimer is a Sanibel native and third-generation island resident whose family’s roots on Sanibel date back to 1898. His family purchased beachfront property from the Bailey family and established High Tide Cottages, now High Tide Condominium. Michael grew up on Sanibel, attended Sanibel Elementary School, and learned the vacation rental business firsthand. After earning a degree in Hospitality and Restaurant Management from Florida International University and working in hotel and restaurant management with Marriott Corporation, Michael returned to Sanibel to take over the Lighthouse Café, purchasing it in 1988. Following a successful 32-year career at the beloved restaurant, he passed ownership to his nephew, Dan Billheimer, in 2018. A longtime community leader, Michael has served as president of the Sanibel & Captiva Islands Chamber of Commerce and on the Sanibel Planning Commission. Today, he brings his lifelong knowledge of Sanibel, Captiva, and the waterfront lifestyle to real estate, helping others discover and enjoy island living.
