All of us have already seen so many supporters describe Mary’s impressive military career, her raising(with Fred) of two outstanding young adults, her impressive growth of a great Real Estate career, and her deep and significant track record of volunteering her time in support of so many wonderful Island related causes.
So rather than focus on those things alone, I wanted to add two additional characteristics which I believe make Mary a slam dunk for a seat on the Island council. First, Mary is a genuinely great person who cares about others deeply. Her kindness and generosity are always front and center and Sanibel needs someone exactly like her representing all of us as the Island navigates through both our challenges and our opportunities. She will work for the people because she is one of us.
Secondly, Mary cares deeply about Sanibel. She cares about our history, our long term viability, our beautiful beaches, and our businesses. I can’t overstate the importance of that to Full Time Residents like us.
For all of these reasons, my family and I strongly support Mary Bondurant and will be placing our votes for her on March 2.
