A panel of five city of Sanibel and Lee County officials will present updates on post-hurricane status at a Sanibel & Captiva Islands Chamber of Commerce business luncheon with a town hall-style format at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 30, at the Marriott Sanibel Harbor Resort in Fort Myers.

Speakers will include Sanibel City Manager Dana Souza, Sanibel Director of Building/Chief Building Official Craig Mole’, Director of the Lee County Economic Development Office John Talmage, Sanibel councilmember Dr. Scott Crater, and Lee County Property Appraiser Matt Caldwell.

“The chamber has been committed to getting the most up-to-date and accurate information out to the islands’ business community from the moment Hurricane Ian blew an ill wind across our peaceful islands,” said John Lai, chamber president and chief executive officer. “This panel of experts has the best read on where things stand now and are headed in months upcoming.”

The special meeting is open to both chamber members and non-members for $35 each. Advanced registration is required to attend; walk-ins are not accepted. Register by 5 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 28, at sanibel-captiva.org or by calling 239-472-8255. Payment is due at time of registration.
