Local Plein Air Oil Painter Exhibiting Works at Community House

provided to The Santiva Chronicle

David Bollinger, a local plein air oil painter, will exhibit his paintings beginning May 2 at the Sanibel Community House, 2173 Periwinkle Way. Of great interest in the show is the inclusion of “paintings with artist’s comment” In painting, the artist often is motivated by a concept/story/theme, while the viewer may see it differently. In this exhibit the artist will include a brief description of his thoughts with each painting. Bollinger paints scenes from around the island and are of great interest to visitors and residents alike. He is a member of the SanCap Art League and the Plein Air Painters. This exhibit will continue through May. The Community House is open Monday through Friday from 9 to 5. For more information call 239-472-2155.
