Love Sanibel Back Visits West End of Island & Neighbor Captiva

The Love Sanibel Back initiative enters its 12th week, from Aug. 10 to Aug. 16, on the west end of Sanibel and traveling to Tween Waters on Captiva.

A Bit of Bailey’s on Rabbit Road will host a gathering at 9 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 16, in honor of its opening. The Shipyard Restaurant at Tween Waters Resort will also host a gathering at 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 14. The first 20 customers at both gatherings will receive a reusable tote bag, and everyone will receive a Love Sanibel Back button.

The Sanibel Recreation Center will be open after maintenance and offering classes free of charge for the week. However, class space is limited. Call the recreation center at 239-472-0345 to register.

Love Sanibel Back is an initiative started by St. Michael’s Church in partnership with the Charitable Foundation of the Islands, the SanCap Chamber of Commerce, and the City of Sanibel.
