Jeffrey Earl of Tampa was arrested Sunday, July 10 and charged with three counts of battery following a reported domestic dispute. He remains in the Lee County Jail on a $100,000 bond, as of Friday, July 15.
Javarius Brown was traveling east in the area of Periwinkle Way and Alecks Alley at 6:26 p.m. Saturday, July 9, when the back of his vehicle was struck by a vehicle operated by a juvenile driver. No injuries were reported.

A resident reported on Tuesday, July 12 two coyotes followed his wife home on Center Street, when she was walking the dogs. Coyote did not show signs of aggression.
A deceased loggerhead sea turtle was discovered Wednesday, July 13 in the water off Dixie Beach Boulevard. It was taken to the Sanibel Boat Ramp and picked by the Sanibel Captiva Conservation Foundation.
