Sanibel Public Library and Macintosh Books welcome bestselling author Patti Callahan Henry, who will discuss and sign copies of her novel from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, May 15, at the library, 770 Dunlop Rd.
Patti Callahan Henry is an award-winning New York Times and USA Today best-selling author of 16 novels, as well as a podcast host. Her newest novel, “The Secret Book of Flora Lea,” was released on May 2.
“A world war and a fairy tale collide in the British countryside in 1940–and Patti Callahan Henry is the perfect novelist to explore how the living are forever changed. The Secret Book of Flora Lea is a treasure: moving, surprising, and deeply evocative of an England that everyday walked the tightrope between heartbreak and hope,” states a review by Chris Bohjalian, No. 1 New York Times bestselling author of “The Lioness and The Flight Attendant.”
Patti Callahan is the co-host and co-creator of the popular weekly online “Friends and Fiction” live web show and podcast, featuring bestselling authors Mary Kay Andrews, Kristy Woodson Harvey, and Kristin Harmel.
The book signing and reception is supported by MacIntosh Books & Paper and a grant from the Sanibel Public Library Foundation. There will be no tickets or reservations required, and no additional cost to attend.
Formerly located on Sanibel, MacIntosh is currently open at Bell Tower Shops in Fort Myers. Books will be available for sale at the library during the event on May 15, and a portion of the proceeds from sales will be donated to the Sanibel Public Library Foundation.
