The Progressive Club of the Islands will feature Stephanie Fraim, President and CEO of Planned Parenthood of Southwest and Central Florida at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 21, in the Founder’s Room of the Sanibel Community House, 2173 Periwinkle Way. She will discuss the topic: “Everything at Stake: A Planned Parenthood Perspective on the Present and Future of Women’s Health Care.” The meeting is free and open to the public.
Fraim became President and CEO of Planned Parenthood of Southwest and Central Florida on February l, 20l8. As an experienced health care leader and a lifelong champion for equity, she has decades of experience in health care business strategy, brand and marketing, public policy advocacy and program development.
Frequently appearing on the statewide and national stage protecting Planned Parenthood’s role as a leading health care provider and advocate, her interviews have been seen in Rolling Stone, the Washington Post, the New York Times, CNN.com, and the Associated Press. For more than 17 years, Fraim has held senior positions in leadership roles at the Planned Parenthood Federation of America, and more recently as Senior VP of Brand and Marketing.
For over 103 years, Planned Parenthood has provided information and care to help people plan their families. In the past l0 years, our right to access basic medical care or accurate health information, has been under attack. And in the next 12 months, we face the most consequential decisions for women’s health, in the history of the movement.
