Police Respond to Three Minor Vehicle Crashes

Sanibel Police responded to three vehicle accidents, including one with minor injuries.

Eric Treadwell of Indianapolis, Ind., was traveling on Sanibel Captiva Road at 9:10 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 27, when his vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree. Treadwell told officers he became dizzy and attempted to pull of the road before he lost consciousness. He and his two passengers received minor injuries and were treated at the scene by Lee County Emergency Service. They refused transport to the hospital.

Jennifer Dawson of Brookston, Ind., was stopped on Middle Gulf Drive waiting to turn right onto Casa Ybel Road at 5:23 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 26, when the back of her vehicle was struck by a vehicle operated by John Wyand of Fishers, Ind.

Jamie Roman of Fort Myers, Fla., had his landscaping truck and trailer parked in front of a residence on Henderson Road Monday, Dec. 21, when the trailer was sideswiped by a dump truck operated by Henry Nachstheim of Sanibel.
