Rep. Anna Eskamani Is Featured Speaker At Next Progressive Club Meeting

The Progressive Club will resume its meetings at 5 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 16 via Zoom. The featured speaker is Anna Eskamani, the State House Representative for District 47 in the Florida State Legislature.

A bridge builder, Anna ran for the first time in 1988 flipping the legislative seat and making history as the first Iranian-American elected to any public office in Florida. She won reelection in both 2020 and 2022 with overwhelming majorities. Anna was educated in Orange County schools, with both under graduate and graduate degrees from the University of Central Florida. She is a champion of economic justice, environmental protection and equality for all, and was a leading voice in carrying Florida through the Covid pandemic. She is known throughout the State as a leader who is unbothered, unbiased and committed to the people of Florida.
