“Repotting and Mounting Orchids after Hurricane Ian” will be the topic of the next Sanibel Captiva Orchid Society meeting. The program will be presented by Mickey Carnell, co-owner of Blue Pagoda Orchids in Englewood– a wedding and event florist specializing in orchids. The meeting will be at 12:30 p.m. Monday, March 18 at St. Michael & All Angels Episcopal Church, 2304 Periwinkle Way.

Attendees are encouraged to bring their “ill or hurricane challenged” orchids to the meeting for diagnosis during Show and Tell. There will be no Fundamentals Session at this time and society membership and guest fees will be waived. Speakers will continue to offer orchids for sale at the meetings as well as contributing plants to the popular orchid raffles. In the fall, the Orchid Society hopes to resume a full season schedule and reinstate its annual society membership and guest fees. For more information visit: http://www.sancaporchid.org.
