The Sanibel-Captiva Kiwanis Club recently visited the Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife (CROW) for one of its monthly socials, bringing members together while supporting a local nonprofit. Guests enjoyed light refreshments in the Visitor Education Center before taking a VIP behind-the-scenes tour of the wildlife hospital and the new Harkey Sea Turtle Complex.
The visit gave members an inside look at how CROW provides lifesaving care to native and migratory wildlife, from emergency treatment through rehabilitation and release. Along the way, they learned more about the organization’s role in wildlife conservation, education, and research.
The event was especially meaningful for CROW’s Development and Communications Director, Grace Murphy, who is also an active member of the Sanibel-Captiva Kiwanis Club. In addition to serving on several club committees, she chairs the Scholarship Committee, which provides financial assistance to local students pursuing college and trade school education.
“Hosting the Kiwanis Club at CROW was a wonderful opportunity to share our mission with a group that is deeply committed to serving the community,” said Murphy. “Their support helps us expand our impact through wildlife care, education, and programs that connect people of all ages to conservation.”
The Sanibel-Captiva Kiwanis Club is also a sponsor of CROW’s 2026 Conservation Summer Camp, helping provide educational opportunities that inspire the next generation of environmental stewards and wildlife advocates.
