Sanibel & Captiva REALTORS Association Busy Giving Back In July

provided to The Santiva Chronicle

Members of the Sanibel & Captiva Islands Association of REALTORS® are giving back and making a difference in the community.

On Fourth of July, REALTOR® and Affiliate members joined in Sanibel’s 30th Annual 4th of July Parade. Members decorated a float and 9 vehicles in celebration of Independence Day. They passed out candy, beach balls, and other fun prizes to parade attendees. The Association’s float even won a prize for Best Nature Theme.

On Thursday, July 21, REALTOR® and Affiliate Business Partner members of the Association joined together for the Clean Up Florida Waters project and helped clean up parts of the Sanibel Causeway beaches.

During July, REALTORS® across Florida have been taking part in Florida Realtors®, Clean Up Florida Waters project. The statewide push encourages Realtors to get out in the community to pick up trash and clean the state’s lakes, rivers, streams, retention ponds, bays, and other waterways and beaches.

For the Summer, the REALTOR® Association is currently gathering donations of linens, personal care products, kids’ items, and monetary donations for the local organization ACT (Abuse Counseling & Treatment, Inc.). The collection drive runs through the end of August and will go to help those in need in our community.
