The Sanibel Captiva Trust Company is offering a round table seminar on why and how to establish Florida Domicile from 3 to 4 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 20 at their Sanibel office board room, 2460 Palm Ridge Rd.
The event is being hosted by Jeffrey Muddell, Office President, The Sanibel Captiva Trust Company, and David M. Platt, P.A. Muddell and Platt will explain the importance of understanding the definition of “Florida Domicile” and why it is critical for new residents to properly establish it.
“Florida is a wonderful place to call home,” said Muddell. “Every year many who were former visitors in Florida will decide to take advantage of the tax and estate protection benefits becoming a Florida resident provides. Often new residents don’t realize the many steps necessary to solidify their Florida domicile.”
