A Speed Study and Passing Zone Analysis was presented to City Council in March, and after discussion at its August 18 meeting, the Council approved the following additional no-passing zones:

• All of Rabbit Road
• Sanibel Captiva Road from Tarpon Bay Road to the Shell Museum
• Tarpon Bay Road
• Periwinkle Way
• Dixie Beach Boulevard from Bunting to Albatross
• Donax Street from Middle Gulf to Junonia and from Bridge to Eagle Run

These changes will likely be made when the streets are repaved.
