Sanibel Farmer’s Market Open

by SC Publisher Shannen Hayes

The Sanibel Farmer’s Market is drawing a crowd on Sundays to its temporary home in the parking lot of Jerry’s Foods on Periwinkle Way. It’s a smaller market, but continues to offer a great selection of fresh produce, a variety of ready-made meals, sweet treats and a few non-food vendors, such as clothing and jewelry. The market was shutdown after Hurricane Ian ravaged the island at the end of September and, although displaced its home at City Hall, its return has been another piece of normalcy for the community. The market is open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sundays.

  1. I love the Farmers‘ Market, but think the new location is problematic. All the traffic blocks folks from getting to church on time.
