Sanibel Fire Crews Respond to Vehicle Fire on Causeway

Sanibel Fire & Rescue District responded to a vehicle fire Monday, Dec. 20 near the A span of the Sanibel Causeway. Crews also rescued individuals on Monday, Dec. 20 and Tuesday, Dec. 21 from a malfunctioning elevator.

The department logged an additional 24 runs from Dec. 17 to Dec. 22:

Spills or leaks: 1
Electrical wiring or equipment issue: 7
Public service assistance: 1
Canceled en route: 2
Unintentional alarm: 1
