provided by the City of Sanibel
Sanibel now has four confirmed cases of the Coronavirus, and Captiva has a single confirmed case, according to a report released Saturday, April 4, by the Florida Department of Health. Sanibel Police Chief Bill Dalton has issued an important reminder to practice social distancing – be six feet apart – limit groups to 10 or less, refrain from rafting vessels together, sanitize hands often, avoid sharing items, and to work together to get through this situation. Be part of the solution. For any problems, call the Sanibel Police Department at 239-472-3111. Dial 9-1-1 for emergencies.

Thank you for all you do! We are grateful!
Thanks for the message. The Governor also ordered us to stay home unless engaged in an essential activity.
Be safe during these difficult times Chief
My wife and I travel to Sanibel yearly but had to cancel our May trip.
I have been a police officer for 28 years in Fairfield, Connecticut and have never seen anything like this! Our town has 66 confirmed cases and 5 deaths.
Thinking of all first responders and healthcare workers 🙏🙏.
Respectfully,
Officer Gregory N. Carroll
