The Sanibel Recreation Center will undergo scheduled maintenance and improvements over the coming weeks and has announced the following closures and updates:
Monday, July 28, 2025: Pool deck resurfacing is scheduled to begin. During this time, the pools will be closed until the project is complete. Construction will be in progress, and dust or debris may be present in the parking lot. Guests are asked to use caution when parking.
Wednesday, July 30, 2025: Gymnasium is closed, and open pickleball is canceled. The gym will reopen on Thursday, July 31, 2025.
Saturday, August 2 to Sunday, August 10, 2025: The entire facility is closed for annual maintenance. It will reopen on Monday, August 11, 2025.
Monday, August 11 & Tuesday, August 12, 2025: The gymnasium is closed, and open pickleball is canceled. All of the scheduled fitness classes will be relocated. The gym will reopen on Wednesday, August 13.
