Sanibel Set to Begin Island-Wide Stormwater Repairs

provided by The City of Sanibel

The City of Sanibel has announced it will begin work on the stormwater repair project on Tuesday, April 22, as part of the stormwater masterplan update.

Johnson Engineering inspected the entire stormwater system, and the project includes the results of those inspections and additional items identified by city staff.

The island-wide repair work includes but is not limited to, sediment removal from swales and culverts, repair of catch basin inlets, and repair of pipe and treatments. Over the next several months, the work will be completed within the publicly maintained right of way and drainage easements.
