provided to The Santiva Chronicle

Sanibel Captiva Conservation Foundation CEO James Evans will discuss the nonprofit’s incorporation in 1967, its leadership in developing the Sanibel Report, and the expansion of the organization’s scope over the past five decades from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 9, on the back patio at the Sanibel Captiva Trust Company. The free event is part of the Trust Company’s 50th Anniversary Community Conversations, being held throughout the year to honor the City of Sanibel’s golden anniversary and the island’s history of philanthropy.

Evans will also discuss current strategic initiatives and SCCF’s future. With a mission to protect and care for our coastal ecosystems, SCCF’s vision is a Southwest Florida where wildlife and natural habitats flourish in harmony with people and are protected by science-based policies.

While the event is free of charge, registration is required and can be done here.
