FORT MYERS, Fla. – The Sanibel Captiva Trust Company is hosting a program offering the pros and cons of claiming Florida as your domicile, estate planning tips to protect your assets and homestead, along with a discussion on the rising costs of homeowners insurance.
The upcoming seminar with financial and insurance experts begins at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 15 at DeRomo’s Restaurant – The Promenade, 16851 South Bay Drive, Bonita Springs.
The session will include topics about domicile vs. residency (there is a difference) as well as keeping your domicile when displaced by a hurricane. Brian Chapman, owner of Chapman Insurance Group, will offer his expert insights into the ongoing insurance crisis including rising homeowners’ insurance costs, predictions for the future of insurance costs and how to lower insurance costs.
