SOCIAL SCENE: The Sanibel Captiva Trust Company’s 2024 Economic Outlook

FORT MYERS, Fla. – The Sanibel Captiva Trust Company’s Investment Management Team hosted a 2024 Economic Outlook that offered a global economic overview, with discussions covering what to expect from the markets during this election year and how artificial intelligence is influencing investing.

Held Jan. 22 at Shell Point’s Tribby Arts Center, Founder and Chairman S. Albert D. Hanser kicked off the event. Speakers touched on the significant growth seen in the S&P 500 in 2023, the myth that election years have a major impact on the economy and the forecast that U.S. economic growth should continue through 2024 and beyond, but at a muted pace.

The special invitation event attracted more than 130 clients and guests. The firm serves high net worth families and business owners who rely on wealth management services to protect, grow and perpetuate their assets.
