Sundial Beach Resort & Spa on Sanibel Island announces its official reopening on Feb. 1, 2025, after an extensive 28-month recovery following impacts from Hurricane Ian. Guests will be welcomed back with refreshed accommodations, enhanced recreation, and new dining options.
“Our team has worked tirelessly to restore and enhance the Sundial experience, and we are beyond excited to welcome guests back,” said General Manager Becky Miller. “From the beautifully remodeled accommodations to the expanded amenities and new dining experiences, we can’t wait for visitors to create new memories with us.”
Sundial is reopening with 74 units, offering guests a refreshed and welcoming stay, with additional rooms becoming available as renovations continue. Beyond the accommodations, visitors can unwind at the revitalized pool, play on resurfaced tennis courts, or try their hand at pickleball, one of the fastest-growing sports, with 16 courts available.
Plus, with all-new recreational equipment, guests have everything they need for an active and enjoyable getaway.
The February reopening also features four on-site restaurants, including the debut of casual dining counter service Beach Bites and the stylish Captain’s Catch that offers panoramic Gulf-front views and a menu tailored for seafood enthusiasts and land-lovers alike.
The enhancements extend beyond dining, with fully renovated event spaces—from the elegant ballroom to the scenic, beautifully landscaped Hibiscus Lawn outdoor space—making Sundial a top choice for weddings, meetings, and special gatherings.
Additionally, as part of the reopening celebration, Daycation Passes will be available through April 30, inviting locals and visitors to enjoy the resort’s amenities for the day. Tennis and pickleball courts are also open to the public, with membership options available for annual, monthly, and daily access.
