Tarpon Bay Explorers Offering Locals Discount In September

provided to The Santiva Chronicle

Tarpon Bay Explorers is offering a 25 percent discount on all rentals and guided tours in September to residents of Lee, Collier and Charlotte counties. Enjoy a variety of activities, such as kayaking through the mangrove tunnels of Commodore Creek or ride a bike through the heart of the J.N. “Ding” Darling National Wildlife Refuge.

See dolphins and manatees from a paddleboard or rent a boat for a fishing excursion. Guided tours are led by a trained and insightful naturalist for those with a thirst for knowledge. They are a great experience as a naturalist’s trained eye and education helps visitors spot wildlife.

“We hope residents come and take advantage of the discount,” said TBE Manager Adam Sauerland. “The island is a great place to day trip and we have a gem of a spot to do fun water and land-based activities.”

Personal watercrafts, such as kayaks, can be launched at Tarpon Bay Explorers for a small fee. Kayak, canoe, paddleboard and bike rentals are available on a first come, first serve basis from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Hobie fishing kayaks and pontoon boat rentals require a reservation. Reservations are recommended for all guided tours, as well. Bring an I.D. to verify residency.

Call 239-472-8900 or visit the TBE website for additional information, reservations and pricing.
