Coastal Watch will hold its annual fundraiser, called The Launch, on Nov. 16, at the Sanibel Community House. The evening will feature dinner, drinks, live and silent auctions, a 50/50 raffle and more – all in support of a good cause.
Coastal Watch’s goal is to increase awareness of the impacts that humans have on beaches, water quality, and marine habitats in our region, and to help citizens become more effective stewards of the ocean. This year, Coastal Watch will be introducing two new conservation initiatives. One will help residents become better stewards of the ocean, and the other will directly help our marine environment cope with the effects of human inhabitation. Details will be unveiled at The Launch.
Monika Urbanska, owner and artist of The Reel Chase, will be live painting an original piece of art at the event. The Reel Chase is a high-performance, eco-friendly fishing apparel company featuring fine art. Monika captures the allure of the water through the mediums of oil and acrylic paint. Join us to watch her work come to life!
Tickets to the The Launch are $100 per person and will include an annual membership. To learn more and reserve your spot, please contact Coastal Watch at (239) 472-8585 or visit sancapcoastalwatch.org/the-launch.
Coastal Watch operates as a branch of Sanibel Sea School to create and implement local conservation initiatives that promote and improve the future of marine resources, and our coastal heritage. Visit us at sancapcoastalwatch.org.
