The Sanibel Captiva Trust Company Founder and Chairman S. Albert D. Hanser Chief Executive Officer Terence M. Igo announce the promotion of Beth Weigel to chief financial officer.
Weigel has more than 20 years of experience in accounting and small business management. She oversees all aspects of The Trust Company’s operating budget and applications and manages expense projections to support the firm’s growth. Weigel also collaborates with the director of compliance and independent financial audit teams.
“Beth has been with The Trust Company for many years and demonstrated her leadership capabilities and sound judgement for safety and soundness of our company and clients,” said Igo. “Weigel also collaborates with the director of compliance and independent financial audit teams on a regular basis. She is an integral partner in the firm’s strategic planning effort.”
Prior to her promotion, she served as chief operations officer overseeing the client relations team and supporting the trust administration operation. Earlier in her career, Weigel worked in public accounting as a senior staff accountant and earned her CPA. She worked as the controller of a family-owned business, managing all phases of accounting, tax reporting and human resources. Beth earned her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Clarkson University and completed her accreditation through the Florida Bankers Association Trust School.
