TIOF Postpones Volunteer Meeting

provided to The Santiva Chronicle

Regretfully, The International Osprey Foundation has decided to postpone the Volunteer KickOff Meeting originally scheduled for Jan. 13. Kathryn Brintnall, TIOF Volunteer Coordinator, decided to call off the meeting in this time of concern over the Omicron variant. With COVID exposures on the rise, she did not want volunteers questioning the safety of the “in person” event.

The meeting, originally designed to kick off the new nesting season and honor returning monitors and other outstanding volunteers will now be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Feb. 10 in the Founder’s Room of The Sanibel Community House, 2173 Periwinkle Way, at which time she hopes that the Omicron variant will have burned itself out and that TIOF volunteers can gather and celebrate safely.

TIOF continues to look for additional volunteers, so mark you are invited to mark your calendars with the new date and time, and come and join in February. TIOF can be contacted at TIOF@outlook.com .
