Trailways Camp, Grampy’s Charities Partner Support Adults with Special Needs

provided to The Santiva Chronicle

Grampy’s Charities raises funds to support organizations transforming the lives of children by partnering with comfort and research based charities in order to make a difference in the lives of those who need us most.

Grampy’s recognizes the fact that children grow up, and when they become adults with unique special needs they frequently lead lives of social isolation with reduced opportunities for connecting in their communities. Family caregivers also have few opportunities for respite. While a son or daughter is at Trailways Camp overnight they know they are participating in camping experiences that provide opportunities for growth, fun, and friendships–with staff and volunteers that assure high quality and safety. Trailways Camp provides this support for the adults and their families.

“For the fifth year Grampy’s is providing a donation that will support entry into a new year for Trailways Camps led by Sharon and Jerry Miller, founders, and we look forward to visiting the campers with our mascot, Grampy, in the Fall of 2021. “ said Founding Board Member Jim Castle.
