Woman Injured in Bicycle Collision

A bicycle ride ends with a woman suffering possible head trauma and being transported to the Lee Memorial hospital. Alan Vitous and his wife Anita, of Sanibel, were riding their bicycles west on Junonia Street at 12:51 p.m. Monday, Jan. 6, when the couple’s bicycles collided with each other making a turn at Oliva Street. Anita struck her head on the roadway and was conscious as she was transported to the hospital.

Robert Woskobnick, of Sanibel, was backing his vehicle from a parking space on Egret Circle at 12:50 p.m. Monday, Jan. 6, when his vehicle struck the parked vehicle of Ilen Ruby, Dover, Mass.

Linda Newsome, Rosewell, Ga., was backing her vehicle out of a parking space at 11:47 a.m. Friday, Jan. 3, at CVS Pharmacy, 2330 Palm Ridge Rd., when her vehicle struck a vehicle operated by Susannah Tayor, of New York.
