As recovery continues after Covid and Hurricane Ian, the Zonta Club of Sanibel-Captiva is excited to announce the return of “A Peek at the Unique,” the beloved home tour and signature event which over two decades raised more than one million dollars to help local non-profits empower women and girls.
Save the date! Peek 2024 is set for Saturday, March 16, 9 a.m. to 12 noon at the Sanibel Community House. With two spectacular houses and one garden, all showcasing Sanibel resilience, buses will follow a relaxed schedule so guests can linger.
“I am very excited to be bringing back ‘A Peek at the Unique,’” said Nori Ann Reed, Zonta President. “This is not the ‘Peek’ of old – it is more a ‘petite Peek,’ respectful of businesses and residents on the island and the difficult 16 months we have had.” Ticket information will be forthcoming.
In addition, Zonta is hosting three fun nights out, in partnership with the Sanibel Community House: “Jukebox Bingo,” from 4 to 6 p.m. Feb. 21, March 20 and April 17. This is a twist on the popular game enjoyed by millions, using music from the 60s and 70s for completing the familiar cards. On offer will be gift-card prizes, cash bar and snacks. Tickets are $20 at the Community House door; reservations are not needed but seats are limited. Join Zonta and sing along to your favorite songs from a great musical era.
Every dollar raised at these events funds programs that improve the lives of women and girls, locally and internationally. For information, visit www.zontasancap.org or follow Zonta Sanibel-Captiva on Facebook.
