I am pleased to endorse Mary Bondurant for a seat on the Sanibel City Council. As a longtime resident of the city who has raised her family here, she is keenly focused on the things that concern and affect her fellow Sanibel residents.
She is very aware of the issues surrounding the current coronavirus and will work as an advocate for the citizens’ safety now and into the future. Mary’s longtime success as a local realtor has fine-tuned her communication, negotiation and relationship building skills. As a member of the small business owners’ community, she understands what is required to operate a successful enterprise. These entrepreneurial skills will serve the citizens of the city well going forward.
Mary has been a volunteer for more than a dozen Sanibel organizations and boards with most recently serving as Past-Chair of the Sanibel Chamber of Commerce. As a volunteer, she has become well acquainted with the needs of the various organizations on the island. She has listened closely to the many fellow volunteers who serve these organizations. I believe her volunteer organization involvement will serve her well as a member of the City Council.
Mary is committed to ensure that our island retains its environmental harmony and economic vitality while preserving its historic culture and charm.
As a member of the Sanibel City Council, Mary will provide the insight and experience the citizens of our hometown need as we recover from this devastating pandemic. For all the reasons that I noted, Mary Bondurant has my vote on March 2, 2021.
