The Sanibel-Captiva Shell Club is pleased to announce The Sanibel Shell Show will once again take place March 8-9, 2024, after being forced to take a break from its long history of hosting its prestigious show for shell enthusiasts. The severe damage caused by Hurricane Ian in the Fall of 2022 caused activities on Sanibel to come to a halt, but Sanibel is rebuilding, and nature is coming back.

This year, there will be two events going on at two locations at the same time, providing lots for shell lovers to do. The Sanibel Shell Show will continue to offer its very competitive, juried shell show with scientific and artistic shell displays, second-to-none, amazing marine and shell vendors and a live mollusk display.

It will be held at a new venue, the beautiful and spacious Marriott Sanibel Harbour, just before the Sanibel Causeway. The show offers both exhibitors and vendors from around the world — a true sheller’s delight. The stunning Marriott Sanibel Harbour venue offers many new amenities, including free parking and no tolls.

Also being held on March 7, 8 and 9, will be an arts and crafts show at the Sanibel Community House, to help support the rebuilding of the Community House after the hurricane. We encourage people to attend both events for twice the fun.

The Sanibel-Captiva Shell Club awards grants from the proceeds of their annual shell show. Grants are given towards education and research in the fields of conchology and malacology, as well as for conservation and water quality projects, primarily in Southwest Florida.
