Second Thankful Tuesday Coming To Bank of the Islands

Bank of the Islands will host its second Thankful Tuesday – a new way to support our island community’s recovery from Hurricane Ian. Neighbors and bank customers are invited from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 15, to the bank office, 1699 Periwinkle Way, at the corner of Casa Ybel Road. That is when 250 bags of 16-pound bags of ice will be given away.

“We need each other now more than ever, so take a break and come by for a visit,” said Bank of the Islands President Robbie Roepstorff. “It’s our way of saying how thankful we are to be your island bank.”

Later this month, the bank will be offering full banking services out of the Sanibel office. Until then, the Edison National Bank office, 13000 S. Cleveland Ave., Fort Myers, welcomes all island customers. The Sanibel office is currently open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday for safe deposit box access only. Customers are asked to call 239-466-1800 to make appointments. The return of full banking services on Sanibel will be announced later this month.

As the oldest locally-owned and managed community bank on Sanibel and Captiva, Bank of the Islands is celebrating its 25th anniversary and proud to be the winner of more than 50 “Best of the Islands” awards over two decades.
