Art League Calling All Artists For ‘Natives In The Garden’ Show

provided to Santiva Chronicle

“Natives In The Garden” is the theme for an innovative new show at the Bailey Homestead beginning in mid-January 2021. Weather-resistant art will be displayed outdoors in the Sanibel Captiva Conservation Foundation Bailey Homestead Gardens. Artwork should be representative of the SCCF mission of conserving coastal habitats, including native wildlife and flora, and aquatic resources on Sanibel and Captiva and in the surrounding watershed.

Current membership in the Sanibel Captiva Art League or SCCF is required of artists. Membership forms for each organization are available on their respective websites: sancapart.org and sccf.org. With proof of membership, there is no fee for art entries. All work must be for sale and a 20 percent donation will apply for pieces sold.

Artwork should be hand-delivered from 9 to 11 a.m. Jan. 12 to the Bailey Homestead Preserve, 1300 Periwinkle Way. For more information and the show Prospectus, visit sancapart.org and see “Activities and Events.”
