Blue Sky Returns Saturday After Tropical Cyclone One

Blue sky returned Saturday afternoon after about 11 inches of rain soaked Sanibel on Friday from Potential Tropical Cyclone One, the first storm of the hurricane season. The island was left with typical flooding of a few roadways and parking lots, but spared from any major damage as heavy wind and a one to two foot storm surge were predicted. Weather conditions improved earlier than expected with the storm rapidly moving to the northeast.
