The Charitable Foundation of the Islands will put community needs and local impact at the forefront of its 2026 Generosity Breakfast on Monday, November 16, at Sundial Beach Resort & Spa.
A special portion of this year’s breakfast will highlight CFI’s Community Impact Fund, bringing together the stories of where the fund has made a difference, the needs facing Sanibel and Captiva today, and opportunities to strengthen the islands in the year ahead.
Guests will hear directly from 2026 Community Impact Fund grantees, who will share how funding received through CFI is being put to work and the impact it is having within the community.
CFI will also announce its 2027 Community Impact Fund priorities, which will help guide the Foundation’s grantmaking and community investments in the coming year.
As part of that process, CFI wants to hear directly from the community. Generosity Breakfast attendees will have an opportunity to share the needs, challenges, and opportunities they are seeing across Sanibel and Captiva. This feedback will help CFI continue to listen, learn, and better understand where philanthropic resources can make the greatest difference.
“The Community Impact Fund is about listening to our community and responding to the needs that matter most,” said Dolly Farrell, Executive Director of the Charitable Foundation of the Islands. “At the Generosity Breakfast, we’ll celebrate the impact our nonprofit partners are making today while also looking ahead. We want our community to be part of that conversation—helping us identify emerging needs, shape our priorities and invest together in the future of Sanibel and Captiva.”
Tickets and tables for the 2026 Generosity Breakfast will go on sale Sunday, August 16. Thanks to the generosity of an event underwriter, all proceeds from ticket and table sales will go directly to CFI’s Community Impact Fund. This means every guest who purchases a ticket or a table will not only attend the Generosity Breakfast but also directly contribute to the fund and become part of the collective effort to address the islands’ needs.
Attendees will also have an opportunity during the breakfast to make an additional contribution to the Community Impact Fund, helping CFI continue investing in programs, initiatives and emerging needs that strengthen Sanibel and Captiva.
The Community Impact Fund brings donors, nonprofits and community partners together around shared priorities and directs charitable resources toward areas where they can have meaningful local impact.
The 2026 Generosity Breakfast will take place Monday, November 16, 2026, at Sundial Beach Resort & Spa on Sanibel. Doors open at 8:30 a.m., with the program beginning at 9:30 a.m. The event will also feature keynote speaker Lynne Wester and recognition of this year’s Generosity Champions.
Tickets and tables will be available beginning August 16 at https://secure.qgiv.com/for/generositybreakfast/event/generositybreakfast2026/
