Addison “Addi” Sprecher has been selected by the Sanibel Chapter FV of P.E.O. International to receive the Margaret B. Lee Scholarship.
Addi is the daughter of John and Milissa Sprecher. She grew up on Sanibel, attending the Sanibel School. Addi graduated from Fort Myers High School this spring where she excelled in the International Baccalaureate program. She will attend University of Florida this fall, majoring in pre-med.
The scholarship was established by former Sanibel resident Jack Lee and his daughters in memory of his wife and their mother Margaret (Margie) Lee who was a member of P.E.O.
The scholarship is administered by the P.E.O. Foundation of P.E.O. International, a women’s educational philanthropic organization dedicated to providing educational opportunities for women. Chapter FV selects the recipient of the grant each year based on the Lee family’s request that the young woman have ties to the island.
