Looking forward with optimism to better days at the J.N. “Ding” Darling National Wildlife Refuge and on Sanibel Island, the “Ding” Darling Wildlife Society-Friends of the Refuge (DDWS) has partnered with Congress Jewelers of Sanibel (currently located at Bell Tower shops in Fort Myers) to create Everything’s Rosie pendants inspired by the refuges’ iconic roseate spoonbill waterbird.
For a limited time only and perfect for holiday gift-giving, the pendants come with 18-inch chains in 14-karat gold for $900 and sterling silver for $110. You can purchase them directly from Congress Jewelers to help support Refuge education programming at the refuge. Visit the jeweler at Bell Tower in Fort Myers at 13499 S. Cleveland Ave. or call 239-472-4177 to order.
A portion of the proceeds from Everything’s Rosie pendant sales will benefit programming at The Roost, the Refuge’s soon-to-debut outdoor pavilion designed ecologically as a venue for school classes, music and artist events, puppet shows, lectures, mindfulness classes, yoga, and culture-driven programs. Watch for news of its ribbon-cutting on October 21 to kick off Art in the Wild (dingartinthewild.com).
“We are excited to partner with Congress Jewelers on this project,” said DDWS Associate Executive Director Ann-Marie Wildman. “Wearing one of these necklaces is a symbol that you appreciate the natural beauty of the refuge and the importance of its habitat for the roseate spoonbills and all the wildlife who depend on it for survival.”
