Kingfisher Real Estate has announced Valerie Tutor as the top selling agent and Sue Plein as the top listing agent for November.

Tutor is a proud native Floridian who grew up on a cattle ranch in rural south Florida. Since the early 60’s, her family’s love for the outdoors led them to make Sanibel & Captiva Islands the place they spent their free time, eventually building a home on the Gulf in Captiva. Living, working, and playing in Florida, Tutor realized her own dream of moving to Sanibel full time 12 years ago.

An avid outdoors woman & self-proclaimed mermaid, Tutor loves fishing, boating, shelling and horseback riding. She is always excited to share the exceptional Florida lifestyle with customers and visitors alike. Tutor is an enthusiastic and knowledgeable advocate for all things Florida, especially her beloved Sanibel-Captiva Islands and the entire Southwest Florida area.

She is passionate about serving her community in her roles as an officer in the local Lion’s Club, as chair of SanCap Cares benefitting Golisano Children’s Hospital, as a board member for Captiva Chapel by the Sea, serving on the Government Affairs committee of the Sanibel Captiva Chamber of Commerce and memberships in several civic organizations.

Plein and her family relocated to SWLF from Illinois in 1979 and has been servicing the Islands since then. She started her career in the mortgage industry as a licensed mortgage broker servicing the Islands. Plein was instrumental in the construction lending within South Seas Resort as well as other developments along our area beaches.

Plein’s extensive background and passion as a licenced mortgage broker as well as in the vacation rental home industry on the islands lead her into her real estate career in 2008. Sue also holds a Georgia Real Estate license. She has the passion and excels in outstanding customer service and commitment to her new and long term clients.
