Thanks to SCCF’s music-loving sponsors, you can keep the funk alive at the 9th Annual Beer in the Bushes featuring Big Sam’s Funky Nation and Shamarr Allen & the Underdawgs from New Orleans.
SCCF is pleased to announce that the Jensen brothers of Jensen’s Twin Palm Resort & Marina and Todd & Leanne Marcum have stepped up again as band sponsors for Beer in the Bushes on April 11, from 6 to 10pm.
Both the Marcums and the Jensens are known for their love of music and are excited to be bringing such a lively mix of funk, jazz, rock, hip-hop as well as blues and country to the unofficial end-of-year party that transforms the grounds of SCCF’s normally quiet Nature Center into a celebratory craft beer and music festival.
Featuring 11 breweries, six food trucks and drawing hundreds of residents and visitors, Beer in the Bushes has gained a reputation for being much more than your standard fundraiser.
“Don’t keep it under your hat, spread the word while we try to pull a rabbit out of our hat with all of the fun and surprises sure to be found at Beer in the Bushes,” says SCCF’s Event & Facilities Manager Jeff Siwicke. “Oh yeah, wear a fun hat, there’s kind of a hat theme going on.”
For more info, tickets, the craft brewery and band line-up, visit www.beerinthebushes.com. Tickets are $80. Advance purchase is highly recommended. All tickets include $10 in Trux Bux redeemable for dinner choices from any of the food trucks located on the event site.
Beer in the Bushes is a smoke-free, rain-or-shine event. Event proceeds support SCCF’s mission of conserving coastal habitats and aquatic resources on Sanibel and Captiva and in the surrounding watershed.
